Private beta, by invite

A writing app that reads fiction like an editor does.

Plan, draft and line-edit your novel in one place. Prosera leaves your dialogue, your period speech and your voice alone. Use the editor and all twenty line-edit reports on their own, or connect an AI key when you want help drafting or a second opinion.

Why another writing app

Most checkers were built for office email, and then they charge you twice.

They don't read fiction

They flag a character’s dialect as a mistake, call every adverb a problem, and “fix” a sentence until it means something else. Accept one change and the next check suggests changing it back.

They charge you, then charge you again

A subscription to get in, then credits or daily limits on the tools you came for, and suggestions you can see in your own text but can’t open.

How it works

Three steps from a manuscript to a better one.

  1. Bring your book

Import a .docx or Markdown file and Prosera splits it into chapters and scenes. Or start fresh and plan it with AI.

  2. Connect a model (optional)

The editor, the grammar checks and all twenty line-edit reports work without one. For critiques, the codex finder or help drafting, bring your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter or Groq, or run a model on your own computer through Ollama or LM Studio. New to API keys? Try the demo writer first, then follow the steps on screen.

  3. Write and revise

Draft in a quiet editor, then line-edit with reports and critiques that know it's fiction.

What's different

Checking that knows it's reading a novel.

  • Leaves your dialogue alone

Your characters talk the way they talk. Grammar and style checks stay quiet inside speech, so a fisherman's dialect isn't corrected into an office memo. Spelling still counts, and a word of your world goes in the book's own dictionary.

  • Checks when you want them

Check as you write, when you finish a paragraph, or only when you ask. The paragraph you're in stays clean until you leave it, and typing closes an open suggestion.

  • No changing it back

Accept a fix and Prosera won't suggest putting the old words back, or flag the same spot again.

  • A story bible from your own pages

Prosera reads the manuscript and proposes entries for your characters, places and lore. Add them, merge them, or skip them. You don't describe your book twice.

Everything else

From the first idea to the last pass.

Plan

A story canvas to test the idea, an outline you can rearrange, and a grid of chapters and scenes with their summaries.

Draft

Scene beats the AI writes from, a whole chapter drafted with checkpoints, and prompts you can read and rewrite yourself.

Revise

Twenty line-edit reports, chapter and character critiques, your own style rules, and a polish pass in your chosen voice. Every scene keeps its history, with a copy saved before any AI text goes in.

Questions

What writers ask first.

Do I need an AI key?
For the AI features, yes: drafting, rewrites, summaries, chat, critiques and the codex finder. The editor, the checks and the reports work without one.
What does the AI cost?
Whatever your provider charges you. Prosera adds nothing on top and has no credits. A model running on your own computer costs nothing at all.
Does Prosera train on my writing?
No. Your text goes only to the AI provider you connect, under that provider's terms, and only when you run something.
Can I bring in a book I've already written?
Yes. Import .docx, Markdown, .html or .txt, and Prosera can read it to fill in your codex.
Can I get my work out again?
Any time, as a Word document or Markdown.
Is it only for novels?
It's built for long fiction: novels and series. Short stories work well too. Screenplays don't, yet.

Your book, read by something that understands books.
