The short version: what you write is yours, you're responsible for your own AI keys and what you ask them to do, and Prosera is offered as it is while it's in beta.

Your writing

You own everything you write and upload. You give Prosera permission to store it, show it to you, and send it to the AI provider or grammar server when you ask for that, and nothing more. You can export it or delete it at any time.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 to use Prosera, or 16 in the EU and the UK.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
  • During the private beta, accounts are by invite. An invite is for the address it was sent to.
  • You can delete your account from Settings whenever you like.

AI providers and your keys

  • Prosera has no AI of its own. When you connect a provider, you use it under that provider’s terms, and the provider bills you directly.
  • You’re responsible for your keys and what they cost. Prosera shows an estimate before a large run, but the provider’s bill is the one that counts.
  • AI output can be wrong, repetitive or close to existing text. Read what it writes before you use it.

Fair use

Don’t use Prosera to break the law, to get into other people’s accounts, or to overload the service on purpose. Prosera may limit or close an account that does, and will say why.

Paying

Prosera is free during the private beta. When paid plans start (see Pricing), you’ll be told before anything is charged, can cancel in one click, and can ask for a refund within 14 days of any charge.

The beta

Prosera is in beta and offered as it is. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose: export your novels now and then. To the extent the law allows, Prosera isn’t liable for lost work or for indirect losses.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, you’ll be told in the app first. Prosera is run by Steven Coppens; these terms are governed by the law of the State of Michigan, United States. Questions go to [email protected].
